everybody and their mother was practically begging me to read this book because of the big twist at the end and I will be honest... it was a pretty good one. however, I just never ever felt that connected to any of the characters (minus jane, who is literally my innermost sensitive parts personified), so the twist just didn't land as hard as I wanted it to.
(I thought I was going to sob) (I got a baby tear out, at most) (BUT... I did just read tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow, so if you are trying to make me cry, it is going to take a LOT).
wasn't a bad book. just difficult for me to get into. I see why it works for so many people, though!

his poems where he directly mentions his late wife are probably my favorite. i think he was so incredibly tapped into his emotional grief and just knew how to express it in the most potent words. i loved it.
