Thank you St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the eARC of One Big Happy Family!  All opinions in this review are my own.

I have been trying to read a thriller with the perfect setting and so much tension that I can't put it down for the past few months and I finally found it!  Jamie Day's sophomore novel was so good I'm recommending it to anyone who likes thrillers.  Not only is the setting fantastic, a family-owned hotel set on a remote cliff in Maine with a hurricane heading directly for it, but this thriller is also filled with family secrets just waiting to be revealed!  I am already looking forward to Day's next thriller!

Thank you St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the eARC of House of Glass!  All opinions are my own.

I have been a fan of Sarah Pekkanen for a long time so I had high hopes for House of Glass and it definitely delivered!  Pekkanen expertly creates a creepy atmosphere with a child in the center of it.  My only complaint is that I don't think the narrator's dive into her own story was necessary.  I understand it helped set up her relationship with Rose, but I don't think the book needed her own realizations about what happened to her mom.  That being said, overall, I really liked this thriller and it is perfect for the fall season!

Thank you Tandem Collective and Crown Publishing for the gifted copy of Here One Moment!  All opinions in this review are my own.

I signed up for this Tandem Readalong because the concept of Here One Moment sounded so good!  A woman on a plane predicts the age and cause of death of every other passenger.  Here One Moment follows a few of the passengers as they deal with this prediction while also diving into the woman's backstory.

This author has been hit or miss for me in the past so I was not surprised that I didn't love this one.  I liked the concept but I felt like this book was overwritten.  It felt like it didn't need to be 500 pages, especially when it took over 100 pages just to get through what is described on the inside flap.  That being said, I did like seeing how the different passengers handled this news and how their lives played out.  I think if the beginning had been shorter, I would have liked this book more because it would have left more room to focus on the passengers.

Thank you Grand Central Pub and NetGalley for the eARC of The Unwedding.  All opinions in this review are my own.

I have been such an Ally Condie fan since reading the Matched series and Atlantia so I was excited to read her adult book.  This thriller had the perfect set up for me with the guests getting trapped by a storm at the elite hotel.  Unfortunately, I found the thriller parts of this story to be lacking.  I felt like there weren't enough hints or enough tension built so that when the big reveal happens, I was more confused than shocked.  Despite not loving this one, I think Condie still has the talent to make an excellent adult thriller.
