This was so much fun. I found myself laughing out loud numerous times.

Charlie finds out his uncle has died and he gets to take over his Villain business. I promise the plot is as fun as that short synopsis. The book was fast paced, was not drawn out, and the side characters were perfect additions to the story.

Highly recommend.

Thank you to the publisher for a Netgalley that was one of my most anticipated reads of 2024.

I somehow stumbled upon this book while googling something about books. No one is talking about this February 13 release!

Time travel. Books with magic powers. A thick plot that is superbly written. That is really most of what can be said about this debut novel. Saying too much would ruin the surprises throughout the book and give away spoilers.

Let's just say I absolutely loved it. I loved the characters-- especially Drummond. And I can just picture that cozy Fox library in my head.

Michaelides third novel takes place on an isolated island off the coast of Greece. I personally love books that happen in isolated places.

Elliot is our narrator & he is as unreliable as they come. He writes the story in a first person who breaks that wall between reader & author. The execution was well done. Elliot is going back in forth through time as well telling the story about Lana— an actress and the love of his life.

I can see how some would think this moves slower, but I personally did not. About 15% in, I got fully vested and couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. I needed to know how it ended. And it ended perfectly for me.

Thank you to the publisher for a free Netgalley.

I love Cody and his rides. He's funny and makes long rides go by fast. I wound up doing the audio of this one, as that is my preference for memoirs. Cody's book was like taking one of his rides-- funny, honest, and entertaining.

I found myself laughing out loud multiple times and his story was interesting. The relationship with his mom and her mental struggles were interesting as mental health issues affected my dad while he was alive and my sister still today. Really appreciated reading how he dealt with situations that occurred.

Overall, highly enjoyable!

I have a love/hate with cozy mysteries. And this was a dislike. I didn't enjoy the main character’s personality and attitude towards anyone else. When I saw how her and her “friend” at the beginning were talking to each other, I was immediately turned off.

Barreled through this one! Super fun read.

This was fun. It wasn’t anything amazing. But the story was fun, I enjoyed the characters and I look forward to book 2!

Thank you to the publisher for a Netgalley of this sequel.

I really enjoy this series. I like the characters. I think the cases are well thought out.

My biggest qualm with this one was the length felt a bit much. It felt a bit draggy in the middle.

But I am hoping for a book 3!
