I'm so annoyed that the events/timeline overlaps with the previous book. Knowing what's going to happen made this so much harder to get through and WHY IS THIS SO LONG WHEN I KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN?

I feel like this went by super quickly. The chapters were short and there wasn't much of any long fighting or planning scenes.

I would never have imagined a book like this can exist. But it does and it's amazing! I laughed and I cried. The main characters were relatable as fuck and their relationship is just *chef's kiss* (pun intended). And I could've read 200 more pages of this book, I'm so sad to be done with this already.
I just very much hated this book and I only read 80 pages. I'm not starting my year with shit like this.

This book needed another round of edits.
Not only is there a lot of spelling errors and just general weird things that needed to be cut out or fixed before publishing but also, WHY DOES THE MIDDLE OF THE BOOK EXIST? I don't understand what was the reason for the characters to go on this roadtrip that took a huge chunk of the book but did not offer them any answers or solutions. It was only so that there was time for the two of them to bond. They were just running around pretending to do something.
And then there's the huge glaring fact that the FMC is really not as cold-blooded killer as the author tries to make her out to be. Supposedly, she's this agent of death and chaos but all I've seen is her being very regular, sassy, maybe mildly bitchy woman who loves her sister above everything else. It really doesn't go well when you try to express her murderous side and then explain how she cries at sad movies. It's silly. I had to give up trying to believe her to be all that just to enjoy the rest of the book.

I have bit of mixed feelings about this book. It was a good fantasy romance. It was fast paced and got multiple plot twists throughout the book. But it could've been better. The book was really long and the romance was slow burn (at least for me). The magic system was interesting, but it was explained very broadly. I would've liked more details about that.
The book was a tiny bit fanfiction-y and apparently it started out that way. It was difficult to connect to the characters. Not a lot was said about them aside from their miserable pasts.
The whole book could've been more intense when it comes to the politics and the romance but all that being said I'm still interested to read the sequel.

I avoid this book as long as I could cuz' I really don't like books and TV-serier combination after I was read The Vampire Diaries. And I was suprised because I really liked it! Not the best book, but I could read it so that is enough for me.
I love it! I think that it was awesome, because of poems and makeing new even it is illegal.
