This book is just TOO much especially after the trigger warning:

The assault scene

There was no hope at all in the story and it was way too bogged down with despair that after that particular scene I lost interest in reading further. 

At face value I think I would have liked this, but it was just way to slow to start for me. I may revisit it later when I am in the mood for something that is more of a slow burn.
