90% of what I read was melodramatic inside thoughts that could have been cut. To say that this book DRAGGED would be an understatement. Every single POC served as a sterotypical plot device to the point this felt like a joke. Most of them served a limited purpose and then died horrifically. This book was written in 2016?? Ok.

Graphic: Rape
It had the same components of The Duchess Deal with none of the heart.
Graphic: Rape, Sexual assault, Sexual violence
A lot of good stuff here that was completely overshadowed by the asinine decision to give the other woman more page time than the central romance. I know the only rule of Romance is "thou shalt include a HEA or HFN," but perhaps there should be more.
This book desperately needed Luk's POV.
Hot Take: Ali said she wanted to try something "different," but this is just a recycled The Love Hypothesis with sports jargon.
Is the kink in the room with us?
The Sweden rep felt like Ali googled facts about Sweden. The sheer number of Midsommar jokes . . .
Luk, who are you? I suppose we'll never know.
Scar, girl, you were on the cusp of insufferability. It's incredibly frustrating to read about a character who tells us how awful she is and how bad at stuff she is and how nobody likes her, but then see everyone love her and support her and shewins national titles, goes to the Olympics, crushes the MCATs, gets the pseudo underwear model who is desperately in love with her, and gets into an Ivy league med school. Poor baby!
Ah yes, anotherthird-act breakup where one person goes off to sulk for several weeks and its suddenly changed! So meaningful! So believable!
Pen got popped but it was a false positive? Lololol ok. Because that really happens that often.
