Good plot, I enjoyed the location. My struggle, I think, comes from having done the audio book. I was frequently lost and had to wait until I heard something that clarified things. I probably would've enjoyed it more had I gotten my hands on a copy I could physically read.

I adore Alix E. Harrow and will continue to happily consume anything she writes. Even fairy tale retellings.
A very sweet, quick read that could've (most definitely) been fleshed further out into a full novel that would've been even more compelling. But I see Alix has plans for Zinnia and the novella might just be the best way to go. Looking forward to A Mirror Mended and any other tales that lie ahead of Zinnia.

I don't normally read these types of books but when I do I always think, why don't I? I clearly enjoy them despite predictability, as one enjoys a chick flick ever so often. Especially with one that offers much more depth, such as this. I'll be looking into more of McFarlane's novels in the future.

If not for the author inviting me to read this, I very likely would not have picked it up. I'm very glad I did though! I recommend giving it a go, look past the cover, it's worth it, I promise.
As a fast paced thriller with a sci-fi twist, One Way didn't disappoint. Time travel is interesting in the way that if done well, it can be very powerful, but if done wrong can be confusing and distracting. Lane was not only successful in creating a believable time travel story but also presented a very original idea with it.
It had me truly wondering how it would all pan out, it was emotional and entertaining. Lane's depiction of grief was incredibly well written. I just wish I could get some more info on how these quantum markers work!
