Loved the whole thing until the section "The NPC", and that threw off the rest of the book for me. I wasn't expecting that part of the story, in a bad way, and it made the rest of the story that much more upsetting. I still loved the story this told, loved all the characters, and loved the last few pages. 4.5 ⭐
Catherine Lacey is becoming one of my favorite authors bc why is she so good at creating characters and exploring identity omg....
