Great characters, good story, but pretty confusing at times (specifically around the end with the reveals), got a little bored towards the end, I didn't get the Lynch vibes the blurb advertises as much as I hoped/I thought some of the cerebral/creepy vibes were out of place?? More development needed ig??

Beautiful writing, so read it slow so you can appreciate it. There was such a consistent, specific vibe throughout the whole book that was so hypnotic you can't stop reading. I normally don't like books where "nothing happens" but this was so great. Would love to reread this during the summer because I feel it's a summertime read. Touched on all different topics in the best and most thought-provoking ways.
If this book has one million fans, then I am one of them. If it has 500 fans, I am one of them. If it has 10 fans, I am oke of them. If this book has one fan, it is me. It's me and this book against the world!
I've reread this book more times than any other book I've ever read.

One of the scariest books I've ever read. If you have the chance, go for the illustrated version. It adds SO MUCH even when the pictures play such a small role. I read this in highschool on my own time and still think about it all the time. "four legs bad, two legs good" is one of the most frightening things I've heard ever.
