A good read, just sometimes felt like the poetic waiting style was a little much and took away from the story. I also wish the romance hadn't gotten the ending it had.

I would give this 2 stars because it honestly made 0 sense, and there was too much going on, but the gay romance and philosophy in it was too good to ignore
More of a 2.75 star, it had it's moments
The antler people: loved, thoroughly scared, wish there was more backstory
The ghosts and random old lady character: what did that have to do with the story??!! where were the ghosts??!!
Wish more had been explained, wish it was a little more suspenseful/had more descriptive horror, but a creepy read

I preferred Night Sky with Exit Wounds, but this was as always from Ocean a beautiful collection. The highlights were amazing and even the ones I didn't connect with as much were great. This man never misses.

King is an expert at storytelling, mood building, and characterization, but there are only so many times I can read about Johnny getting a psychic flash and then 20 pages of cop dialogue
