I am hard in my V.E. Schwab era right now! This bookmark was a chonker and took me forever to finish 😅 The world building and magic system was perfection, I loved the characters, the story had great pacing and kept my attention. I would say that if I went back, I’d read this with my eyeballs instead of audio just to help me capture more understanding of that world building. Overall, great read!

Meet my favorite read of 2025! 💙 🧛🏻‍♀️

Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil was one of my most anticipated for the year and it did not disappoint. Historical fiction meets toxic lesbian vampires? Sign. Me. Up. I am a very quick reader, but found myself dragging this out over several days because I didn’t want it to end. I will be shouting my love for this book and V.E. Schwab for the rest of time!

This book was addicting and such a good time! I really enjoyed the way the author wove the heavier topics into the lighter parts of the story. It had an excellent balance!

I would highly recommend reading the content warnings before going into this if you have potential triggers. This story is cute, but it is heavy and it is spicy. If you’re someone who prefers zero spice in books, I’d skip this one. It’s not one you can easily skip without missing parts of the plot.

I really enjoyed this story and the trilogy!! The only thing I would change is a more drawn out ending and more focus on grief over the loss of certain characters.

Overall a great read! Excited to read Songbird and Sunrise!

LJ does it again! I really enjoyed this book. LJ does a great job bringing newness to romantasy in ways I don't see very often. This story is for you if you like hot vikings, a FMC who can handle herself, disability rep, and excellent world building.

I got approved for an audio ALC on NetGalley yesterday even though the book has been released, so had to give this a listen. I knew very quickly I’d need a shelf trophy, so headed to B&N while I listened and picked one up. My heart!!!

This story is everything I look for in a romance - we’ve got the swoon and tension, the lessons woven throughout, the enemies to lovers/one bed tropes, etc. I cannot stress enough how much I loved this book.

Phenomenal work to Nisha J. Tuli on her debut into the romance genre! I will 💯 be checking out her backlist!
