besties i didnt think I'd be sat here saying my favourite character was a full Revenant but,, EEEEEEE TOO GOOD TOO GOOD. this was splendid and i was sad at the end for a hot second bc im so used to Margaret Rogerson standalones, but IM HAPPY NOW BC IT'S A SERIES YESSSS

i think i like this author's more wholly fantasy stories more than anything - there were a few too many pop culture references for my liking and i feel as though the characters didn't have much of a chance to be fleshed out. if this book was a bit longer, they probably would've had more time to be developed, but alas, it isn't

all in all, the story was where it excelled and i'm down to read the next book in this series

*4.5 stars, but i'll round up for chaotic, morally grey monster girls
