Predictable, a little clumsy, and wildly improbable, but just what I needed to break my reading dry spell.

I don't think I've ever READ a genuine slasher before.

This absolutely did my ADHD brain in. It felt like this whole thing was written in code and I couldn't follow any of it. Whenever a character or event was brought up, I wasn't sure if it'd been introduced earlier and I forgot, or whether this was the first time I was hearing of it and I was just supposed to get through inference the significance. It felt like Jade would be in one location and then another, or with a person and then without them without any clear indication that anything had changed in the scene. I was constantly saying out loud, "what is going on??" I appreciate that most people love this book but woof. Did not work for me at all.

Aside from the sections that were written by people who were actually there, this mostly reads like a high school book report. Still, there are a ton of fantastic photos, so I'll call the $12 investment worth it.
