The Disappearing Spoon: And Other True Tales of Madness, Love, and the History of the World from the Periodic Table of the Elements

I had this book on my list for a longgg time, and really want to revisit it, but my brain is not in a place right now where it can appreciate the aggressive science. I'm sure it gets more interesting further in the book, but I can't bring myself to read more than like 5 pages at a time right now, which is very unlike me. Super fun premise!
This was a desecration to the sanctity of motorsport. My eyes are suffering and my friends are no longer my friends after I made them listen to me read portions out loud. I am an avid F1 fan, have been for many years, and I hate this so much. I don't usually read explicit romance and this was a great reminder why.
Graphic: Sexual content
I'm sure I'll revisit it, but I couldn't get into it right now - similar to a memoir I'm reading too, so not the vibes I want currently. Maybe another time 🤷
Graphic: Body horror, Murder
I'm really planning to pick this up again at some point, but too much shit happened in my real life for me to remember and finish this story now 🙃
May revisit it, but I wanted a light easy read and this required a little too much suspension of belief and brain space to really enjoy it
The Biggest Bluff: How I Learned to Pay Attention, Master Myself, and Win

Hopefully for another time - In just could not get into it. Some great quotes and valuable lessons even in the 50ish pages I read, but another time 🤞
The story was great and very engaging, and I may pick it up again at some point. However, the time jumps in every single chapter and different character POV's with no indication of whose until you can deduce for yourself...that definitely took away from it. I'm all for time jumping, but every single chapter in a completely different year meant I had to retrace every time. Great premise!
