It's an interesting premise, but I wasn't as into it as the author was and ended up kinda bored.
You know much as I'll probably love her other work when I read it between this and vanishers palace you'd get no objection from me if the author wanted to play mad libs for write a novella which is ___ except both women and set it ___and __ is a ___. to the end of her days
Kept my attention even when I was sick. Lying cat is best character
for something this old it's really a marvel that it's this readable. but my mind did wander a lot
It didn't run into some of the problems I had with the author's previous work (there's no parental abuse for me to dispute the handling of) and there's food so overall a much more pleasant for me book. low five to high four
Has really good ambiance. On the audio book though I had some trouble following what was going on.
This story feels a lot more true to my experience, even though I don't share a diagnosis or symptoms with the main character, than most "important mental health books" pertaining to my actual diagnoses do. I guess that means the main character and I have some similarities in temperament?
I imagine if I had read this early in life before I realized some stuff about myself, it would have been formative.
