How much do I like this book? I spent the better part of a year scared to finish it. 

Also anyone else who's from the Suiraine ship in WOT, this is the most Suiraine thing I've ever read. 

Fun, fast, great premise. 

I enjoyed the parts about the friend group and the bookstore 

I am unsure if he was really that full of himself or if my starting out disliking him made him unlikable. 

The sweet sad combo really works for me here

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the kind of sabrinaesque setting and characters being combined with a cozy plot. I struggled a bit to get into the mystery because the fantasy reader in me was pining for more worldbuilding and a clearer indication of what the magic could or could not do.

It's hard for anything in this series to do wrong in my eyes

I liked the extent to which the food columnist aspect was well integrated into the plot. Not all cozies do as much with their set dressing
