Giving this five stars through my tears.
My absolute favorite genre of magical realism and the main characters were both so loveable. Nothing I love more than a perfect romance!! Will be recommending to everyone

4.5 stars. Reminded me so much of Ottessa Moshfegh and Elif Batuman. I just love reading about an effed up female protagonist just trying to make it by the best of her own drum. Especially enjoyed the lead being mid forties as opposed to a young 20 something “figuring it out.” Deeply darkly funny. Keyword Dark

Would’ve been a 5 star read if not for the random ending? I was completely hooked from start to finish. The epilogue seemed like an entirely different book
