Wow. It took me a really long time to enjoy this book and I am so glad I persisted in reading it. The last ten chapters took my breath away. The last paragraph of the book was worth it all. While I struggled through the first 75% of the novel, after finishing it I immediately downloaded the next in the series on my kindle

This was quite potentially the heaviest, slowly devastating book I have ever read. I think need to reflect on this for a few days to find the beauty in it. Because it’s there, it’s just hidden.
The prose took my breath away.

Hard to get in to at first. I will say I kept thinking about the book and wanted to finish it. Finished in about two days but it ended up being predictable.
