Meg Smitherman does it again!!! Oh my god, another fantastic novella!

This was a very trippy ride and I never ever thought I’d read a book where the plants were horny 😌 so yes it was quite spicy, but hello? The twist at the end? I don’t even know if I even have anything against the planet honestly, like, slay I guess.

But I had a lot of fun reading this and I really liked Ben and Jill’s characters, but now I can’t decide if I dislike Darcie or not? But was her emotions just heightened because of the planet or was she straight up just delulu, again I’m always left questioning. I enjoyed the pace and I like that once again Meg has my emotions all over the place 🫣

READ THIS, and also I cannot wait for entity to come out!!!!

THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD! This is also my first historical horror and oh my god, I need more and will definitely read Broms’ other works.

The whole plot was fantastic, and I loved the build up. I really enjoyed that we got a POV from Abitha as well as Samson, it was really interesting and I honestly love Samson 🫠 but he deserved better, so did Booka, SWEET BOOKA 😭 Abitha and you know what? Even Forrest. He was a bit of a knob but he grew on me I won’t lie. The main characters were written well and I really enjoyed the pace of the story and the story overall tbh.

And also FUCK WALLACE AND IM GLAD THE TOWN GOT WHAT WAS COMING TO THEM BECAUSE THIS BOOK HAD ME PISSED.

Anyway. I definitely recommend this, the art inside which is done by the author also is SO GOOD, and it really helps you feel more of a connection to the characters and visualise them more 🖤

This is my first Joe Abercrombie book and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed this. It felt like a dnd campaign or even an RPG. The whole adventure from start to finish was constant entertainment. I loved that I was able to hold a connection to all the main characters and learn about their background and watch them all become a found family, despite the ending being insanely bitter sweet and my feelings are partially hurt 🥲

The world building was detailed and intricate which helped with being immersed! I’d advise if you read this though to take it slow and have A LOT of concentration! The writing was fantastic, Joe did a fantastic job of smoothly transitioning all the POV’s of each of the characters without it actually being confusing, and I bloody loved the humour, I’ve not read many books that have made me laugh out loud quite a few times. So this was definitely a lot of fun to read.

I also heard that James Cameron has picked this up to make a movie! I hope it’s true and I can’t wait to watch it, it’s definitely movie worthy!

But I definitely can’t wait to read some of his other works 🥰

When The Moon Hatched has officially been added to my favourites list. This book is fucking PHENOMENAL.

The writing is pretty and poetic which I’ve learnt to really appreciate, as is the world building and especially the magic system, I thought that was fantastic! The prologue going into detail about how the world began was just stunning. The dragons that calcify themselves into moons into the sky sounds hauntingly beautiful but also heartbreaking. Just the whole setting of the scenes for all of the book was just done brilliantly. I bloody love the plot twists and the way little things pop up which happened in the past that makes you think, wait, hold on a minute? Honestly so cleverly written it’s amazing!

Raeve is written so so well, I like her sarcastic attitude and I like that she’s tough and outspoken, and throughout the journey we gradually see her growing, but I hope we see her in the second book gradually fix herself because my girl is so broken and I want the best for her and her backstory is PAINFUL. And Kaan, my god, WHAT. A. MAN. He is yearning for this woman and that specific moment where he picks up some certain shards to piece something back together? I LITERALLY CRIED. My heart genuinely felt so sad.

Like holy shit this book is amazing, and the ending, oh my fucking god, the CLIFFHANGER, I cried at that to. I’m so hyped for the second book and I’m so glad I picked this book up again, I fucking cherish it 😭🖤

This novella was intense, I love the psychological horror and I loved the plot. It really had me trying to figure out who and what Dorian really is, or if Ami is alive or dead. This book really had my mind turning cogs. I almost feel gaslit by Dorian to 😩 I truly believed him, and I also question, is he actually safe? Or is the ship actually the problem? I DON’T KNOW!!!! I finished this at 2am and now I’m going to wrack my brain over this. I do wish it were a longer book and had more lore about Dorian, I really wanted to learn more about who and what he is!

But this was a nice quick read, very fast paced but with a steady plot and I thought it was written wonderfully!

This is literally my first monster romance, I was drawn by seeing the HOTTEST art of the MMC Ragnar. Now I will currently be reading more Monster romances, I am a changed woman.

This book was so good. I loved the enemies to lovers type vibe, seeing Ragnar go from brooding to slowly allowing himself to be vulnerable around his “little human” 😩 ergh the whole plot and relationship had me screaming. Seeing Maia grow and coming out of her shell was refreshing to see as well, going from shy, anxious and timid, to a woman who didn’t take no shit. I LOVED that the male trolls literally worship the women, the things Ragnar would say to Maia 😮‍💨

The plot was a nice pace and I loved the whole idea with the trolls living under the mountain but it having forests and being more advanced than the humans, it honestly sounded magical especially with the wisps, definitely avatar vibes! Oh yeah, THE SPICE WAS BLOODY SPICING!!!! 👀

So um yeah *𝘵𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘳 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘢𝘳* you guys should definitely read this 🤭

Oh my god. This was such a good book!!! But the ending had me DEVASTATED. Up at 1.30am weeping.

This book was amazing and I am so grateful for being accepted to read this arc.

The characters are written so well. I adore Tru and loved seeing her grow as a character and learn to embrace her sight. I adore Elang to, and again I’m sad about the whole journey him and Tru went on. It was a wonderful journey but I wish it were different, my heart strings have been pulled. The growth between both of them and the moments where he would let his guard down for a brief second for her but would put them up again due to the ending, honestly has me crying again. I really loved Shani to, she was written so well that I felt a connection to her. The slow burn was, yeah, really a slow burn and I love it when it’s like that.

The world building was very beautiful, I enjoyed the unexpected twists and the battles really had me at the edge, I do wish there were a bit more action but I really can’t fault this book at all. I could imagine this being a movie and I wish it were. Tru’s gift being that she had the sight which was foretold through her paintings I thought was a really cool idea. I also really like that this is in the same universe as Elizabeth Lim’s other books, Six Crimson Cranes and The Dragons Promise. It was nice seeing a certain character pop up at the end, like an Easter egg!

This was a beautiful story and it will 100% be put on my shelf when it releases (I already ordered the FL edition 🤭).

OH MY GOD! This book was AMAZING!

You follow an Elven bard called Sylvaine on her journey to try gain notoriety in the world after being looked down upon for so long due to being an elf. She gets picked up by a group of adventurers, Neith, Cadoc, Aeran and Jaromir, to slay a dragon and take its hoard. But the journey to that end has obstacles in its path and OH MY GOD, the story was amazing and I felt like I was witnessing a D&D campaign.

Sylvaine is a wonderful character with a really sad backstory and I adore her so so much, especially when she over shares and goes on rants. I love her. I love the growing bond between her and Jaromir, ESPECIALLY the tension between them both, oh my god, and even the obstacles that came between them and just both of them together made my heart bleed I swear it, through the good and the bad. Neith, Cadoc and Aeran were also so well written and I adore all three of them, with their own stories for how they met eachother and the lore they share. That the ending really just felt bittersweet honestly and I was sad that it really was an end. This has definitely got to be up in one of my favourites, I devoured this book and I feel a little bit hollow now that I’ve finished it.

It has certainly spurred me on to play a bard in baldurs gate 3 now 😌🖤

This book is what got me into reading for the first time, I enjoyed it ALOT. Feyre as a character I think she’s amazing. I also loved the world building.

My favourite out of the ACOTAR series. World building, the twists, the romance, it’s all phenomenal. I love Rhysand! Feyres maturing and growing in the book is lovely to see as well!
