An enjoyable read. It seems to have nearly everything. Relationships, murder, mystery, and the added benefit of a main character who cleans houses for a living and loves taking martial arts classes and working out. She's an insomniac and a clear thinker, who knows her community, but doesn't trust people easily. In the beginning, she keeps to a routine and holds everyone at a careful distance, however, that changes. She's upset that the routine is disrupted because she watches a body get dumped and instead of just immediately calling the cops, she finds out who the person is before she calls the sheriff of the community--anonymously. She doesn't want to get involved, but then she's realized that she's come down as a suspect because of her insomnia and stand off attitude. So, she decides that it's up to her to find out who has committed murder.
I'm not one to read many mysteries, really, but I have to admit that this one, I did enjoy and I'm glad that there is more to the series, because I do intend to dive in and read the rest.

I would definitely say that this is a book that I enjoyed and I am excited to continue on with the series. As this is my first read of the book, I gave it a 3 star rating automatically, but in the future I do intend to read it again and I will likely enjoy it enough to give it a proper rating. That is my hope.
