I finished Cross Her Heart earlier this week and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this September BOTM pick! I have had this sitting on my shelf for months and I finally picked it up and I’m glad I did. I really enjoyed the twists and turns this book took and when I started I didn’t think that was how the plot would turn out. I gave it four stars because I really enjoyed the plot line and characters but would have enjoyed a little more background information surrounding the main twist.

Just wow! That’s all I can say. It really hooks you from start to finish.

The book was definitely interesting and a fast read but the plot got too twisted and unbelievable and the writing in third person made it hard to get to know the characters. I felt as if the reader could get a lot more from the book if there would have been individual chapters for each character because we only got a surface look at who they were throughout.

So I found this book really enthralling if you are the type of reader who likes to see the same incidents from multiple perspectives. There was a lot of mystery to the book which made it very interesting, however, I agree with other readers who believe that this book has too many narrators. There are too many main characters to count and that can be very confusing to keep straight, especially in a story where the reader is unfolding a mystery. Overall, a quick and interesting ready but be ready to think when picking up this book.
