Finally made a dent into the sapphic trifecta and this was so, so good... while it is a bit of a denser read and you have to really stop and appreciate every word (especially since the writing is just that lush and wonderful), the atmosphere that Suri created was one of the best I've ever experienced!

I don't really know how else to describe it but fire - from the Ahiranyi's fight for their land, to the war against Chandra, even to Priya and Malini's relationship, every second of this book burns, and we get to see it grow from an ember to a flame that I'm sure will only continue to get bigger and brighter with the next installments (which I'm SO excited to get to already!!!)

It's books like these that make me realize that we still treat women - especially mothers - like absolute crap, even today. Jiyoung's story is as heartbreaking as it is real, and the fact that so many women have to put their own identities and dreams on the back-burner for the sake of their families, their children, and especially for the sake of societal expectations that are doing nothing but hindering them aches.

THAT ENDING?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!??! OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!! I love them I love this I'm officially so on board with this story and it means the world that I'm reading it ;;;;;

I just want to hug Mika and give her the whole world????? This volume really honed in on her character and I can relate to what she's going through so, so much... 

Also, Mitsumi's bangs mishap is such a universal experience and I can't believe that I've found the cutest MC in the world but I sure did!!!

I will literally go to war for Nao-chan and her happiness and her and Mitsumi's relationship is SO important to me 🥺

Sukirofa showing once again that friendship is one of, if not the most beautiful thing that someone can have in their life is also incredibly important and I love this story more and more with each volume!!!

I said volume 3 was my favorite so far, but this one definitely takes the cake 😭 I relate so, so much to Shima and how he struggles knowing who he is after having spent a lifetime walking on eggshells to keep everyone else happy... and I love that Mitsumi is such a breath of fresh air for him, allowing him to start to find out who that is! The festival was such a cute arc, very psyched for the next volume since it has a Christmas cover and I'm an absolute sucker for that!!

Definitely my favorite volume so far 🥺 Mitsumi and Fumi's friendship (and her new friendship with the Tokyo girls) remains the most precious thing in the world, and we're getting so much more insight into Shima which is exciting!! Very curious to see where we go next...

This is really shaping up to become one of my favorite manga series!! It's always such a delight when you get to go deeper into our characters, and this volume is just the beginning - I LOVE how Mitsumi and Shima's friendship is progressing, they're just so well-fitted for each other and they're truly making each other better people and starting to grow together which is so nice to read about!!

I was in need of some emergency comfort today and that's exactly what I got by starting this series! After watching the anime episodes that have aired so far, I knew that this was something special and that I had to experience it for myself. Mitsumi is such a cute, earnest, hard-working and sweet character and has officially been adopted by me, and I look forward to her adventures in Tokyo (especially once I'm past the point of the anime's story!!)

I have also been reminded, several times, that golden retriever types would have made me absolutely weak in high school. And if they still do that's none of my business!

I really loved learning more about Lundy, her story, and the reasons why she is the way that she is - the Goblin Market and its entire system felt a little bit like it went over my head (and maybe that's just due to the very short form of these books) but the writing and atmosphere are as good as always, and I look forward to reading the next installments!
