That was weird but in the best possible way. It was so much fun and so hard to put down. I wasn't completely blown away by this first book by any means, but it was clearly just the beginning and I really look forward to reading the next books over the course of the next week or two!

This book was like Ig nobel prize winners; it made me laugh, and then think. The concept of chickens suddenly becoming an intelligent species sounds absurd, but through it Gerry Alanguilan was able to craft such a fascinating world with such a tragic history.

Who knew a story about chickens could incite so much emotion and thought in me?

I gave this 2 stars the first time I read it because I was annoyed. Now upon rereading it, I now realize that I was just too sheltered to understand. This was so much better than I remembered.
