Absurd, funny and extremely, extremely fascinating. Also, so quotable. I'm pretty sure that, a week from now, I'll already be done with this series, at the rate I'm reading these books!

Gosh I missed this series. These volumes were particularly awesome!

This comic book series is awesome. I love how the last story referenced a character that clearly represented Manny Pacquiao, and just generally how this series puts modern day, pop culture and Philippine folklore and mythology (which I honestly wouldn't pay much attention to at all otherwise) together so well. :D

It's difficult for me to come up with a rating for this book.

Ultimately, I liked it for sure, but, by the end, still wasn't completely sold.

I didn't find myself particularly engaged until about 2/3 of the way through the book - though, at least, at that point, I couldn't stop reading.

I think the part of the story I enjoyed most was the part wherein we were introduced to this whole new culture and world - it was so freaking weird, but I was also so fascinated and curious about it. It was absurd, but it was described and shown well. It kind of delved into the sci-fi genre a bit at that point too, and I loved how Moore was able to make something so absurd sound so real.

The characters kind of fell flat for me though. I liked some of them well enough, but they didn't always feel consistent, and I didn't find myself growing attached to them in any way.

Christopher Moore is hilarious though. I ran out of sticky notes marking funny passages. The humor is weird, sarcastic, sometimes disgusting, and often had me asking myself, "What the hell did I just read?"

I'm still not sure how I feel about this book. While it could've been better, I still definitely enjoyed reading it.

This was such a good book. As with the first, the movie absolutely did it no justice, but, unfortunately, still spoiled the ending for me. :/

I think this one is my favorite so far. Maybe it's just cause I wasn't spoiled this time around, but who knows.
