It's weird that, now, several months after reading this novel, I suddenly feel like reviewing it. It's strange, but I figured I'd just go with it.
Two stars for me generally means that I didn't like the novel, but I can still see how others can.
Initially, I think the problem was that I went into this novel expecting an awesome science fiction story. Unfortunately, I didn't read the synopsis properly; it had science fiction elements, but, ultimately, it was a romance.
I don't have anything against romance, but I prefer my romance to be in the background. In this novel, it was prominently in the foreground of everything for almost the entirety of the book. In the mad chase for a murderer, Marguerite still thought it would be okay to pause for a while and focus on her love life. I personally just can't deal with that. It got less annoying for me in the second half, but I really had difficulty reading for the entire first half of this novel.
I think it's important for science fiction novels, despite the fact that they are fiction, to feel real. For me, at least, this novel's scientific concept didn't feel real. The concepts were presented, but I was never fully convinced. The entire time, it felt kind of off. That really took away from my experience as well.
It also has a love triangle, which, in itself, I don't think is a bad thing. The one presented in this novel is so typical though: The main character is an insecure girl, who, over and over again, explains to us how average and forgettable she is. Two boys, roughly the same age as the main character, are introduced to us. It turns out that the two boys are both in love with her.
It's overused.
That being said, it was a pretty easy read, and one that I flew through once I (eventually) got more into it and put aside my negative opinions for a while. If you are a fan of romance novels, aren't too particular about your science fiction, and don't really mind reading about the usual love triangle, you could easily love this novel. Unfortunately, I didn't fit any of those categories, so this novel wasn't for me.

I really did enjoy or at least not hate the majority of the book.
The ending though...well, I didn't hate it. It just wasn't particularly satisfying.
I feel like I should've felt something when Teresa died, but, honestly, I don't feel like I knew her enough to. Most of the series was just spent making us either hate her or love her, but, throughout all that, I personally never felt that sense of attachment towards her.
I also feel like I should've felt something between Thomas and Brenda, but I didn't either.
I understand the actual ending, but I don't feel like it answered many questions, and this was a series that accumulated a lot of questions over time. I don't mind if the Immunes found paradise by the end; I just wish they didn't leave so many questions unanswered before they did so, or at least developed the characters enough to at least make me feel bad about Teresa's death and feel giddy about Thomas and Brenda's relationship, if that's what you could call it.

I actually read this book for English class. We had to choose between 5 books, and I chose this one simply because it was dystopian, and, lately, I've been loving those kinds of books.
I loved all parts of the book, except for the ending.
The ending itself wasn't bad at all - I only didn't like it because of personal preference. It was an intentionally open-ended, and, I personally have to have closure, so I was kind of disappointed about the end.
In general though, the book was amazing.
