I'm a MAJOR Dark-Hunter and Sherrilyn Kenyon fan and at the prospect of reading Nick's story... We'll it made me happy :)

This is a young adults series so does not contain the naughty buts the DH books have, Nick is after all only 14 in this one.

This is good opening to new same-world series with old friends and new and beginnings with him getting into trouble and Kyrian rescuing him. There are some startling changes to the history we know of Nick from the DH series but after checking Ms Kenyon's website and true to her form they will all make sense eventually.

Nick is essentially a good person and stereotypical teenager and you never realise how little confidence and self-worth he has. It's going to be good to see him turn into the man we all love.

Good instalment and its great to hear Nicks story since he is such a beloved character from the Dark-Hunter series.
DO NOT start with this one as it is book 3 and would spoil the others if you did.
Though it is a young adult book, as an adult (supposedly) its still a nice afternoon read.

This book picks up directly after the 3rd in the series, Infamous.

The central theme of this book is self-worth. Nick has never felt good about himself and the events of book 3 strongly weigh on him. Nick doesn't realise how many people's lives he actually improves and world miss him if he were not there. These are strong themes that will help him battle the inner demon. By the end of the book, Nick has had some startling realisations and developments in personal relationships as well as getting his drivers licence.

There is a strong anti-bullying theme through this novel, in fact Bryanna's Anti-Bullying Brigade letter spans several pages and the sentiment is at the heart of the book. This book (with the 3rd) are excellent role-models for young readers and as an adult you can relate to the sentiment behind Bryanna's words. These themes will remain strong throughout the Chronicles of Nick series.

As a massive Dark-Hunter fan, you get you fix of favourite characters but it sure as heck doesn't answer any of the 'how will this fit into the Dark-Hunter series?' questions. In fact it will leave you with more **sigh**
