While first reading, the idea of The Circle seems like a dream but presents a great by slightly terrifying parallel to the way social media can take a dark turn.

There were points in the story where I felt myself get frustrated with the idea of this virtual affirmation but also recognize how much I see that play out on today's online interactions.
