 This charming romance follows Bo and Winn, who navigate an unexpected pregnancy after a one-night stand and slowly build a partnership rooted in respect, humor, and heart. The banter? Absolutely hilarious. Bo had all the green flags—supportive, steady, and everything you’d want in a partner on the parenthood journey. I spent the whole book screaming for them to get out of their own way and just fall in love already. But let’s be real, that’s my favorite kind of romance 😉. A heartfelt, laugh-out-loud story that delivers on both swoon and substance.

I picked this up after hearing about the upcoming film adaptation, and it did not disappoint. The story follows a travel journalist on a luxury cruise who witnesses what she believes is a murder—but no one believes her. It kept me on the edge of my seat with twists and turns that had me guessing until the very end. A gripping and atmospheric thriller perfect for fans of suspense and mystery thrillers. 

Jodi Picoult has a way of writing that immediately pulls you into the story and this one brought me right back to the surreal, fever dream that as the early COVID-19 pandemic. Even five years later, her words evoked such strong, visceral feelings that I felt like I was reliving that time all over again. The story follows Diana, a woman stranded in the Galápagos Islands as the world shuts down, forcing her to confront who she is and what she truly wants. It’s moving, reflective, and a powerful reminder of how deeply that moment in history impacted us all. 

This book gave me everything I love about Bridgerton–the drama, the romance, the glamour–while challenging some of the problematic themes with more diversity, empowerment, and heart. The heroine is bold, brilliant, and unafraid to challenge the patriarchy and racism of her time. I especially loved the slow-burn romance and the fake marriage trope done right. A must-read for historical romance fans looking for fresh, inclusive storytelling.

Absolutely stunning from start to finish. The West African-inspired magic system was unlike anything I’ve read before and completely refreshing in the fantasy genre. I picked it up after hearing about the upcoming film adaptation, but I stayed for the gripping storyline, rich world-building, and powerful characters. Tomi Adeyemi’s storytelling is bold, immersive, and impossible to put down. I’m all in for the rest of the series. 

I picked up The Light Eaters for book club, not expecting much, but I was completely hooked after the first chapter. Schlanger’s compelling writing makes the science of plants—and the idea of plant intelligence—fascinating and surprisingly thought-provoking. It made me see nature differently and is a great pick if you're looking to boost your non-fiction reads with something genuinely interesting and enjoyable. Maybe skip it if you're vegan or vegetarian and don’t want to question your salad's sentience...

One Dark Window hooked me with its unique world-building and an original magic system unlike anything I’ve read before. Elspeth’s misfit energy, paired with her quiet strength and courage, made her such a compelling protagonist. And of course, the tension and dynamic between her and Ravyn Yew had me eager to see where their love story would lead. Definitely a standout fantasy read!
