I really loved this story it was different than any book like it I have ever read it was very unique and very interesting to read. The characters were great to read about I especially loved An Zhe and Lu Feng was interesting in his own way. I loved An Zhe for many things how he describes things how adorable he is at many points he is also very determined to get his spore back while not being discovered. I liked Lu Feng despite him being cold and unfeeling he doesn't quite act nearly as cold around An Zhe. The plot was very interesting it starts with one person dying and a little mushroom becoming that person to find his spore finds many other things along the way. I am really looking forward to reading the last volume soon.

This story was very different from others I have read it had the perfect gothic atmosphere and many interesting characters within it. There are many great characters in this story but I like Violet most of all she is a girl who falls into something she was not expecting to ever happen to her or those around she does have a great strength of character. There are many other interesting characters especially River and Neely one is really more than he seems it makes for a great gothic story that I loved every word of. The story is very unique to any other kind of book like it I have read it starts with Violet telling of how her parents are gone and it is just her and her brother Luke and she meets River and is enamored very quickly weird things happen around them and the cause is thought to to just be River but there is more to it I really liked the story will read the sequel soon.

This story was very unique loved the characters the story and the art I love books with illustrations in them. The characters were very interesting I especially loved Opal and Arthur they had great chemistry the ending was great a wonderfully well written story. I loved Opal for her curiosity her want to make sure her brother is able to leave and have the best life possible I also loved how well she adapted to the strange goings ons at the Starling House. The plot was really interesting it had a great lyrical and whimsical with just enough creepy to give a great gothic atmosphere to the story. The story starts with Opal telling both about her life and the town and the Starling House she gets offered a job at the house finds out many things the ending was really good too.

I really loved this book it was one of the best books that I have read in awhile I am looking forward to more. I really loved the characters especially Alfie,Finn and Luka they were all very written I loved the relationships that develop between them a closer brotherly relationship to Luka after Alfie had been gone so long and his older brother Dez had died and an interesting relationship that will hopefully become a romance in the next book to Finn. I really liked how the relationship built up over time that they would die for each other or die together and hopefully they will meet again soon. There was no real romance just a build up and potential for a romance in the future. I really loved the plot of this book it started with Alfie returning and grieving the loss of his brother and willing to do anything to get him back somehow it then leads into meeting Finn and the other things that happen to a great evil being set free on accident and them doing anything they can to stop it I loved this story so much. So overall I loved this can't wait until the next book.

This was the best conclusion to a story I have ever read it had the best ending with everything else going for it as well. I loved the characters so much especially Evangeline and Jacks their romance was the best ever it had its ups and downs but Evangeline was willing to do whatever it took to get that happily ever after they both deserved with the amount of pain they have gone through. There were many great side characters but I like LaLa most of all hope there will be more to her story later she wanted to

go above and beyond for both Evangeline and Jacks. On to the villain of the story Apollo he is a loathsome coward who would do anything to keep Evangeline and got the punishment he deserved in the end. I loved the story it had its ups and downs but it was well worth it I loved it so much.
