A reread of a book I last remember pouring over in my high school library and only just recalled thanks to a Reddit post. The magical realism and writing is so much fun and I'm glad I have a copy in my little 'books I loved as a kid, forgot all about, and now am acquiring as a financially reckless adult' nook. RIP to the incredible author who passed fairly recently.

A slim and lovely collection of love stories - both romantic and platonic - across the classical period, combined with stunning artwork. A great coffee table book or potential gift for a loved one.
