Lacklustre cover aside, I loved this - a dark, queer, horror thriller about identity and coming of age that also throws historical murders (it is *killing* me that 2004 is now so far removed as to be The Deep Past) and self growth and mysterious resurrections into the mix.

It's a book about a writer writing a book about a writer writing a book. The Scream 2 of meta murder mysteries and I loved it completely.
