If you've ever wanted to read Stephen King take on Constantine via The Cell in half as many pages as King would take, then this is the book for you.
A wholesome, charming, cinnamon-roll-sweet story about found family and healing and growth that infuses fantasy characters with enough warmth to power two whole ovens. Would like to read more books like this for the rest of my life please and thank you.
No idea what to rate this really? Huge, gigantic trigger warnings abound. The writing is solid enough but I can't say I recommend this?
A piece of seminal detective fiction that is at times funny, heartfelt, incredibly intelligent, and all of the above all at once. The cast of characters are wonderful, the story is intriguing, and almost 200 years on, it holds up remarkably well as a gripping yarn.
