3.5 rounded up to a 4 - a decently told story about secrets, social media, kindness, and art that goes down easily but doesn't leave a huge impression.
3.5 stars - enjoyable enough with some great representation but with a very predictable story and some two-dimensional characters at times.
Much like the title, it's a sweet, fluffy treat which doesn't last longer than it takes to devour, although I'll absolutely be looking out for Cookie O'Gorman's work in the future.
It's fine? I don't know if it needed to be 400 pages but it's cute enough and charming and if you can get past the puke salvo in the first 30 or so pages (not a spoiler, the food poisoning is part of the premise), it's sweet enough. Has it made me a Christina Lauren fan? Not necessarily but I'm not averse to checking out one of her other works, dependent upon premise.
