Really pleasantly surprised by this slow burn domestic thriller with a brilliant protagonist and a great mystery at the heart of it.

Really solid 3.5/4 out of 5 for me. I'm not really a sci-fi fan but I still really enjoyed the writing style and how it operates as a sci-fi story, a revisionist take on Transformers, a commentary on whistleblowers, and Scar/Lex AVP fanfiction all at once.

Will I read the rest? Maybe, maybe not, but I still enjoyed this more than not and can appreciate the worldbuilding and writing style here.

As someone who saw the film far too young but watched the adaptation back in 2019, I always wanted to give this a try. It's a well-condtduced and beautiful story about faith and religion and the differences between the two, all set against a murder mystery in an Italian monastery. If you're wanting a chewier story, I recommend this.

Really enjoyed this conclusion to a fun space opera duology!

As someone who grew up largely unaware of Mariah and her cultural impact beyond a handful of songs that my mum loved, I picked this audiobook up out of curiosity.

I really enjoyed this as a story of creativity and resilience, complete with Ms Carey's comedic timing and inimitable vocal riffs. It has, essentially, made me a fan of her. I would recommend this to anyone curious.
