Nope. Not for me. I can appreciate the writing style but... no.

Turns out I have a real soft spot for Jane Austen heroines getting their flowers after their main books - this is a Pride and Prejudice sequel in which Mary and Kitty Bennet learn from each other and find their own happy endings, in a well-written, compulsive, thoroughly enjoyable style that Austen herself would have enjoyed.

Totally fine - I wanted to try LJ Shen and this was free on Prime Reading and it was... fine. Totally readable if you're looking for some enemies to friends to lovers romance with a bad boy/good girl pairing.

Managed to work out the killer but not the motive!

Perfectly fine intro to some world mythology. It missed out on some big histories of mythology I thought would have been represented, and I think it could have done with a proofread or two extra, but I enjoyed it well enough.

A dazzling effort of time and space, of love that echoes across decades, and about memories lost and regained. I won't spoil this too much as it's out next month but it's a superb novel and one that I'll think about for a while.
