Thoughtful. Weird pacing. Dual timeline is balanced well.

What I imagined this book would be ended up being better than it actually was. Interesting worldbuilding, twisty plot.

Fun, exciting, and status-quo changing. The character's emotions are right there in your face, but that's part of the fun. The characters know what they want, and that refreshingly pushes the story forward.
