chloefrizzle's Reviews (993)

Wonderful edition to the series

At the beginning, every little weird thing seemed like random and irrelevant details. But the more of these Chekovs Guns (which I assumed were unloaded) *actually* went off, I had to shift my perceptions of the book

The Bobs are so reactionary. This book is lacking focus in its plot, something not helped by a large amount of narrators and plotlines.

A spotify playlist of the songs mentioned in this book:

I think this might be the best book I've ever read. It's contemplative and romantic and punky. The thematic equivalent of mixing 80's rocknroll and Celtic folk music, just like the playlist.

Can we talk about how this book sets up an emotional bombastic ending then absolutely bungles the pacing and staging of it?

This is historical fiction. It's not the type for me.
