At the beginning, every little weird thing seemed like random and irrelevant details. But the more of these Chekovs Guns (which I assumed were unloaded) *actually* went off, I had to shift my perceptions of the book
The Bobs are so reactionary. This book is lacking focus in its plot, something not helped by a large amount of narrators and plotlines.

I think this might be the best book I've ever read. It's contemplative and romantic and punky. The thematic equivalent of mixing 80's rocknroll and Celtic folk music, just like the playlist.
