Holy hell that was one thickkkk book. It started off pretty slow so it took me a while to actually get into it but overall it ended up being an intriguing read.
A lot happens throughout the story and it can be hard to keep track of everything but overall it is a great read. The character/relationship development was well done and the way in which historical events are tied into everything was well done.

This world honestly stresses me out, there is so much wrong with it yet I cannot look away (what do I expect for a futuristic dystopian novel though). It's kind of like a train wreak one cannot help but stair at. I remember reading these years ago but not well enough so I decided to reread the series, and its not a love for me but also not a hate.
Overall the story sucks you in but there is also just so many things wrong within the world that it just makes me cringe in a way. There def needs to be some trigger warnings for self harm and eating disorders throughout the series as a pro-cautionary measure. Will I finish up the series again? Yes! Will I run out and buy it for my shelf? No. But I am glad I am re-reading it.

I picked this one up because I feel a disconnect with my degree as I haven't been using it (Sociology) so I'm making a conscious effort to read more diverse books written by diverse authors.
I am not a disabled individual nor I do not require mobility aides at this point in my life so I cannot relate to the author in these ways. However; I do benefit from learning about other peoples experiences in life and am grateful for the ability to read about other peoples experiences and view points.
This book provided me with a glimpse into Rebekah Taussig's life and her experiences as an individual navigating life within a wheelchair. It was a great read, and I strongly recommend others give it a read.

Again, trying to consciously read more diverse books.
I fully appreciate and admire when books make you actually sit back and think, when they aren't just a light fluffy read (though I appreciate those too).
This made me miss school a little, it brought me back to learning and actually appreciating course material. Though, you do not need to be an academic minded individual to get something from this book. It was very informative yet relatable and something I recommend picking up.

I wanted to love this book but honestly had a very hard time getting into it. The character development was great, the lbgt+ representation was done well but I just found the book to be tedious. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for this read.
Okay that was an adorably quick light hearted read. Dash & Lily are just too adorable. This book is full of angst, miscommunication, and an overall happy ending.
I'm sitting here with a loss for words. THUG is an emotional rollercoaster that NEEDS to be experienced and read. It is not a fluffy happy go lucky novel, instead it looks at what is really happening in minority communities on a daily basis. It is an in your face look at the racism and prejudice that far to many people face on a regular basis. THUG cuts deep, it is an extremely emotional read and it allows one to reflect on the world around them. It shows a point of view that many people never experience as they live in their own little bubble.
The novel itself is very well written, it's engaging, inspiring, educating, and so much more. THUG follows the journey of Starr as she deals with being the sole witness to a fatal shooting for a young Black man. Starr had to decide if speaking out and giving him, and many others, voice is worth potentially destorying her community and putting the lives of those she loves at risk. You can feel the struggle that Starr is going through, the fear and pain that she experiences on a regular basis.

I fully appreciate how well this series tied up its loose ends, this novel was a wonderful ending.
So many shenanigans through the story, as well as plot and character development. It was a great ending to the series.

Such a wonderfully done take on fairytales. The imagery used was absolutely stunning and it was just a smoothly awesome story.
