90 Days of Different is a story about friendship, growth, and finding oneself. It follows the adventures of best friends Sophie and Ella during their last summer before college. After Sophie is dumped for her predictability and boringness Ella comes up with a plan to help Sophie step out of her comfort zone and find herself. Throughout Eric Walters’s novel you follow their adventure as the summer progresses and you see how each “different” changes Sophie (and Ella’s) perspective and sense of self. There adventures were not always realistic but their relationship was something I could relate to, as it is a lot like my relationship with my best friend. Where we push and encourage one another to step out of our comfort zones and try something new.
Overall the novel is a cute, light hearted read full of nerdy references and sassy remarks. Each “chapter” is one day in their adventures so some are obviously longer and more detailed than others. Some of the adventures felt rushed, there could have been more expansion on what was going on and how it affected the leading ladies. But for the most part it was a great quick read. The use of social media throughout the novel, and the 90 days leading up to its release, is a great aspect as it connects with the current generation and their daily habits.

I received an ebook copy of this poetry book via net-galley in exchange for an honest review. Once again Lovelace manages to hit you in the feels, it follows the complications of losing someone who has hurt you, who hasn't redeemed their selves in your eyes. Lovelace is a master at pulling at ones emotions, at encouraging self reflection and journaling.
I picked up this book to fit a bookbattle requirement a couple months ago, I had no idea what I as getting into when I picked it up. Overall, I really enjoyed this version of "Arthur" and the round table, it was a spectacularly modernized version that dealt with relevant issues within society today. It was a great, quick, easy read that left you wanting more.
With the movie out this summer I felt the need to reread this gem from my childhood. It held up in its spine tingling eeriness that I felt during my childhood. The stories are creepy enough to stick with you after reading them, if they were to be read out loud I could see them being great campfire stories.
Again, why did I keep up with the series. The problematic abuse throughout the series kept me from being able to enjoy it. It was like a train wreak I couldn't turn away from, it just wasn't a great situation. Yet I read them all!
Doesn't seem to get any better, I finished the series but will never read it again!
Harden's problematic behaviors are at least addressed in this one, however his behaviorism is beyond problematic
I listened to this one as an audio book, overall it was an adorable story. It dealt with so many issues in today's society, in a totally approachable way. It wrapped up nicely yet wasn't a fluff story full of rainbows and unicorns.
At first I had issues getting into this book, it felt as though it was dragging on, but suddenly it became addicting -- I was unable to stop listening. It was a spectacular retelling of The Wizard of Oz, where Dorothy is not the ball of sunshine she is presented as, instead she is conniving and evil.
I picked this book up as part of bookbattle a couple months ago and I am glad I did. I had no expectations when reading the book which allowed me to fall in love with it as I read it. It was a spectacular read and I am sitting here hoping for a sequel!
