Disclaimer I was given a copy of #thecerberusaffair by @charlottevalentinewriter from the author herself in exchange for an honest review

First off:  Catherine  is one of my favourite characters so far this year. She's fiesty, determined, loyal, intelligent, and honestly a kick ass female (literally). Also I have a soft spot for Susie, she seems like my type of people.

Second: this book has a lot of science throughout it (specific genes/gene splicing and don't ask me if its truly scientifically accurate because I have absolutely no idea 😂) and I don't do science -- 100000% cannot comprehend science. But, I was able to follow along with where the science was taking the characters. It was written in a way that even I had a vague understanding of what was happening within the science aspects of the book.

Final thoughts: I loved this book, the twist the turns, the love the hate... Etc it was a fabulously gripping read and I cannot wait to obtain book two!!

For a (slightly) futuristic dystopian novel this book hits the nail on the head for what easily could be in current times. Queentide takes part in post pandemic Australia in 2026 -- an Australia where anyone who isn't a cis white man can and does have all their rights stripped away at the snap of a finger. Where women can lose their jobs for the simplest of reasons and domestic violence is all but ignored..  A diverse group of kickass females comes together to take down the patriarchy who call themselves Queentide!

It is an powerful read full of complex characters, true to life struggles/terror, and plot twists.
