The beginning and the end was really slow moving and hard for me to get into, but the middle was really interesting. It definitely gave me a new perspective on things, though I was sadden by the way in which each of the girls' and their father's lives ended up and the change in their faith.
4.5 Stars
The book had a slower beginning to me, but once I got about 1/3 to halfway in it really picked up and I was hooked. The two sisters, Meg and Claire, are so different and yet they're connected by their past, growing up with a negligent mother and having to rely on each other. This is a heart-warming story of forgiveness and redemption. If the beginning had been more gripping, it would have been a 5 star read for me.
