this was fine, it was a bit repetitive. in the dedication she mentions her love for writing filth and that is what this was. definitely a book that is better in fantasy and if a man was like that in real life 🤢

but for people who love possessive semi alpha-holes you'd love this. the plot outside of the romance was heavy themes but not too intense. I wish it was more about making the bakery work and less about some of the family drama.

I had high hopes for this. and now that I'm done I'm not sure how to feel. I appreciate how the book wrapped up. I felt she was fair in all her research and showing both sides. maybe I'm too close to the issue but her jokes sometimes felt insensitive. in the beginning I was actually worried about the direction it would take. it's a lot more direct than I expected it to be fluffy and silly.

it could be an interesting book for understanding human and animal relationships if you're new to that space.

this was so cute I'm not sure why it took so long to read it. I was hooked pretty quickly. it kind of reminds me of love is blind in the original season before people only did it for clout. D'vaughn and Kris are so cute. the flirtation and banter is great. it is spicy but not heavy on the spice. very hallmark in the sense that the drama is minimal and resolved quickly. but it felt satisfying because they were mature resolutions showing emotional intelligence. well done.

I am happy to have wrapped up the series. it was such a strong start for me and just an ok end. this was fast paced and action packed. there was a lot of spicy but it felt forced and too much at times. lots of fights ended so quickly. the build up did not match the conclusion. Hermes is great 🤣

such an interesting story. very raw and real. I appreciate how honest he was. while some ideas around the tech might have been harder to comprehend he made them very easy. I felt emotional towards the end when Joanna was introduced. well worth the read.

I thought it was fun, cute, and sweet. I didn't realize it was set in Maryland, that was a nice surprise. I did feel like it was a bit easy, even the drama was resolved quickly. and the lying felt odd at times. despite that I enjoyed it and would recommend for a fun and light read.

I really enjoyed this book. while I was waiting on my copy from the library I watched a bunch of documentaries on the topic and still feel like I learned so much more. very detailed and well written. if you're interested in the opioid crisis or the sackler family it's a great read.

this felt so anticlimactic to the series. while the fate of the world is an ok ending the fate of the characters I did not like. I like that it was different than most books, but it felt frustrating. and there was not a lot of character growth.

I did like that this book was dual POV.

I kept having deja vu moments where I thought I had maybe actually read this book before, but when I got to the ending I knew that was true. I actually think I may have preferred the movies to the books in this rare case. but the movies do end very differently.

I felt like tris was a bit better in this book but still a lot of whining and crying for someone who abhors when others do it. I felt like the last 3rd of the book was much better than the rest.

the four in the movies I like better. in the books you see much more of his personality and growth but all his issues and hangups make me like him less because they seem so dumb.

but again they are teens. still entertaining though definitely different events from the movies with the same larger plot.
