I really enjoyed this. well written with lots of sources and research. a very clear break down. I just wish there was a bit more action oriented solutions for the different areas.

 if I was younger I would have enjoyed this more. there is a lack of depth in the characters for me and the plot was a bit slow. the riddles and puzzles were a little too easy. I am not usually a fan of so much happening in a short time. I think this whole book happens in like 2 weeks. right from the beginning I knew where the ending was pointing. but a very easy and fast read, super short chapters. not sure if I will read the rest of the series yet. 

this book went in a lot of directions I didn't expect. after the halfway point I started to see where it was going but it still was very interesting and engrossing. I would give this a 3.5 because I personally don't like loose ends at the end of a book and there are a lot of things left open. celeste's writing is great and I think I would have enjoyed it more as a physical book over an audiobook.

fast and easy read. I understood what was going on but nothing really reeled me in.

this had a slow start for me but it picked up and was really interesting. it had a lot of real world subjects mixed in with the fantasy that I enjoyed most. I am not sure the ending is what I wanted but it was not a bad ending. I will likely read the next book.

I'm a vegan already and knew most of the content in this book. I got it on a visit where I stopped by CAS. however I did still learn a handful of things. I did really like hearing the animals stories of how they arrived to CAS or showed their personalities.

I wish it was more of a story and not just essays. I felt like the writing style was not my favorite. things weren't always written smoothly and often had abrupt interruptions. I do feel she covered a broad range of topics.

she does talk a lot about being vegan and as a vegan I agree, but I do think it could have been organized better for the message to come across in a better way.

this book was amazing. it is definitely my favorite of the year, may my all time favorites. she put into words things that are aonhard to describe. I felt so seen and understood. while it is a sad story many are familiar with hearing her account was inspiring.

everyone should read this whether they think they can relate or not. it will give some much perspective and empathy. 

I think I might have thought this was fine as a preteen and if I read the physical copy vs listened to the audiobook. I thought the netflix adaption was better. easy read though.

I did not enjoy the writing. how many words can you add "ies" to? uglies, pretties, littlies...

Tally also sucked, for a long time. and even when she ended up on the right side I still didn't really like her. will not finish the series.

I enjoyed the movie much more than the book. the ending happened too fast and other parts felt dragged out. I felt plot lines were all over the place and I didn't enjoy the actual writing.
