this one just felt meh to me. there were a lot of dark back stories that pull at your heart. but there was constant upsets that got tiresome. a lot of good quotes at the end that I enjoyed. curious to see how the last 2 unfold. how will this series be wrapped up? I have a feeling I might not like it...

grumpy sunshine trope. the first few chapters before the meet cute are bad I almost didn't keep going, but so many people liked this I stuck with it. and I'm glad I did. I really liked the spice and I thought Brendan was a great fictional boyfriend. very comforting port town romance read.

 this book is the saddest of the series so far. So much bad news and dark feelings. the cycle of some of the earlier books where the twins repeat the same mistakes/tropes is finally broken. Darius is really growing on me - he has so many good quotes in this book. I'm very curious for the end of the series - only 2 more books. 

this book was soooo cheesy to me. it definitely felt like whatever can go wrong does go wrong. super exaggerated in the drama and mishaps. a murder coverup plus a romance in one book seemed like a lot going on. I did like learning about the indo-chinese culture and weddings.

This felt like when you watch a bad scary movie. A guy writing a mostly all women book wasn't terrible but was also off at times. I felt like he was trying hard to be uplifting and empowering but I didn't really get that. It was a nice read for spooky season but not really for me. Just ok. I saw someone else say how this would be better as a movie and I agree. 

professor orion is still the best. another ending similar to book 2, but with more heart break after it. A cliffhanger as always. So many smiles in the middle of the book which was a nice break from all the darkness.

this was a highly recommended book this year from other readers online. I just didnt like it that much. it felt just very meh to me. nothing super intriguing about it. typical butterfly effect type story. 

This series is getting better as it goes on. I didn't love how unlikable everyone was and ruthless at first. But the sisters are changing that and layers are getting pulled back. Love all the different povs. The flirtatious banter and sister chats are A+. Orion is still 🥵 

This book was much better than the first.  Still some issues with self publishing and the writing is quite simple. But I am in love with Orion. And the plot is constantly leaving me wanting more. This series is nothing like I expected but I'm very intrigued to read the next book. 

Yes there is magic. yes there is a a school. no this is not grown up harry potter. I couldn't really buy into it for the first 80%. I dislike how everyone is so power hungry and aggressive. It is weird how much of this is sexual yet not. Super slow burn. I dislike the guys that are supposed to be main love interests and I don't believe the twins would have so easily fell for them. Writing is mediocre. This was my first reverse harem and it seemed like so much to keep up with since there are 2 main characters. 

All of this to be said the ending saved it for me. I don't know if I would recommend it, but I will be reading book 2.
