I liked where this was headed going into the first few chapters but it really fell flat for me at the end. It felt as if the author really dropped the ball plot wise at the end knowing that she was going to right a second book and this would be a series. Not a lot happened for the first half of the book and then everything got thrown at you too quickly toward the end. Very weakly done and could have been so much better.
