Hmm, not entire sure this entry was needed? It was a good story and I continue to enjoy the duality of Jack and Jill and how their lives play out, but what did this really do? I found my mind drifting a lot during most of the audiobook because this played out how I thought it would. Also, a LOT of the writing felt like the author was trying a liiiiittle bit too much to sound like a deconstructed fairy tale. I love that aspect of this series, but this felt very try hard.

Overall still a fun installment!

WOW, this did not go where I thought it was, and it’s incredibly mean in how good it is at showing the friendship between Yona, Soo-won, and Hak. Stick the knife in and TWIST, why don’t you. 

I’m so in.

Excellent writing, excellent character work. But there are some books I just cannot make myself read despite how good they are, and this is one of them.
