This story definitely worked better in graphic format compared to the novel, but it's still very weak overall.

I don't know what it is about Ilona Andrews, but they always write great character focused work set against super interesting world building and I eat it up every time. This was a great and satisfying ending to Catalina's trilogy. 

A whole volume of literal children talking and acting like adult masterminds who can manipulate each other and figure out double crossing and triple crossing…it’s a bit much.
