Wow, this was so good! This is definitely different from the other books in the series, because it's darker, mysterious, more of a gothic feel, and has supernatural elements. The biggest trope here is arranged marriage and Victoria Lum did a great job with it. Maxwell and Belle certainly had their differences, but it was very clear how mean for each other they are, and how they are soulmates. There were twists, angst, suspense, and so much more. This is a wild ride and such a an emotional read but has everything you want!

🖤Billionaire romance
🖤Gothic vibes
🖤Age gap
🖤Arranged marriage
🖤Anxiety rep
🖤Family curse
🖤Suspense

The Sutten Mountain series is now finished and I will miss it so much! Dean lost his wife roughly three years ago and is left to raise his daughter. He's been through a string of nannies who don't last long, but the mysterious Liv comes to town and needs a job and place to stay, so he hires her. He tries to resist, but he falls for her and he falls for her hard. There's a level of guilt he feels, as if he might be betraying his late wife, but he sees how much Clara loves Liv too, and he knows that they deserve to be happy. This is an emotional read, and made me tear up. It was wonderful to see Dean go on a journey where he realizes he is deserving of another great love in his life.

Tropes:
- Small Town Romance
- Single Dad x Nanny
- Age Gap
- Billionaire
- Forced Proximity
- He Falls First and HARD
- Grumpy x Sunshine
- Slow Burn

I absolutely loved this book and will miss this series so much! Savannah and Hayes were best friends growing up but something happened between them and they hadn't been in touch in years. Now she is back home in Magnolia Falls and needs his assistance. This is a marriage of convenience, long lost best friends, small town, grumpy/sunshine book featuring our favorite family and our favorite little guy, Cutler aka Beefcake! The chemistry in this book is off the charts and Laura Pavlov wrote this second chance, marriage of convenience masterpiece that I will be thinking about for a long time!

Thank you Laura Pavlov and Valentine PR for the ARC!

This was just so cute! I really love this series, which is about several single dads who started a group chat called The Single Dad Playbook, and they meet up and chat about being dads. This is Henley's book and he's a single dad of three girls, who are all adorable and wonderful! He has a good relationship with his ex, so that's not the issue. But he gets off on the wrong foot with his daughter's teacher, who he saw at the grocery store before and was instantly attracted. I love that Tru was helping Cassidy, and the relationship bloomed between her and the other girls. Henley was a great dad and his chemistry with Tru was electric! This book was just so cute and fun and I really can't wait until the next book!

Another super fun and cute STEM romance book! If you're a fan of Ali Hazelwood, then this book is for you. I enjoyed Henry and Clara's story in The Hot Henry Effect, but I think I enjoyed Ted and Hannah's story even more. It was hilarious, witty, great banter, and a fun rom com that I think so many people will enjoy!

Thank you to NetGalley, Lucy Chalice, and One More Chapter for the ARC of this book.

Hmmm, I really loved most of this but some of the details aren't my favorite. Like, what do you mean he's been in love with her for a decade, but when she leaves him, he doesn't go after her and it's only after he's already engaged to someone else and she is the wedding planner, that he calls it off the minute he sees her again and then tries to win her back? Why didn't he go after her before, when she originally left him? Aside from that though, I did really enjoy the book and liked the family aspects and the love between Lennox and Aiden. What I am really excited for is for the other characters to get their own books because I know they'll be so good!

Well, this was a wild ride! I was excited for Jess's story because I knew it would be great but also a rollercoaster and it certainly was. Just like the previous books in the Spearhead Lake series, this has much drama, feelings, tension, plot twists, angst, and a lot more! I went most of the book THINKING I knew what would happen and then bam, I was blindsided but in the best way! It's so messy and I am unwell.

Tropes:
- Small Town
- Second Chance
- Single Mom
- Billionaire
- Forbidden Romance
- Friends to Enemies to Lovers
- Marriage of Convenience
- Wrong Person, Right Time
- Love Triangle
- Broken Hero
- One Bed
- Grief

I've been waiting for Royal's book and it did NOT disappoint! This was so deliciously good, for the romance and the mystery and suspense. The plot really thickened in this one, and I was on the edge of my seat. The ending was insane! Royal King is my favorite because he's the definition of "don't judge a book by its cover" and he is so much more than meets the eye. Vaeda is his perfect match, because she's feisty and brave and just an overall badass! I loved this book so much and might be my favorite in the entire Sullivan/King series!

Some of my favorite tropes are featured in Just Between Us:
-black cat x golden retriever
-hot tattooed MMC (he owns a tattoo shop)
-family rivalry
-romantic suspense
-unique meet cute
-forced proximity

Lena Hendrix did it again and I am so thankful to her for the eARC of this book! Check this out (and the entire series) because it's AMAZING!

I'm sad that this series is over but it was so great and I loved this final installment. One of my favorite tropes is accidental pregnancy and Melanie Harlow did such a great job with this book! Mabel and Joe had such a hilarious and wild meet cute, but the chemistry was there from the very beginning. I felt the push and pull, and the tension, and was rooting for them to finally get together. Joe was such a wonderful guy and stepped up to the plate, filling in those dad shoes quickly and very nicely. I really loved that they became friends and their main focus was the baby, but they slowly realized they were falling for each other. This was perfection! I am looking forward to whatever Melanie Harlow writes next because I know it will be amazing.

If you're a fan of Parks and Recreation, then this book is for you! I really enjoyed reading all of the anecdotes, as told by Jim O'Heir, as well as others from the show. I love the show and have been the biggest fan for a long time, but I learned so much from this book and it felt like a warm hug and coming home to family. Some of the stories felt more surface level, and didn't reveal too much, but most of them were fun and made my fan heart happy. One issue I have with the book (at least the ebook) was the formatting was awful, and many of the images either didn't show up, were jumbled, or had their descriptions/captions is very odd places and didn't match the photo it was trying to tie to. Aside from that, I enjoyed this book and I know others will too, whether die hard fans or not. This was really a trip down memory lane and the show remains timeless. I will be starting my rewatch of Parks and Recreation as soon as my review is posted!
