A read set in Death Valley to go along with my trip there. Pretty decent mystery. Story kept moving and I didn’t guess it fully
I “read” the second epilogues as they were included in each of the audiobook versions of the stories.
I was really hoping for more of Violet and Edmund’s story. Their love has been portrayed as so constant and true I would have loved to see how that played out.

A fun follow up to An elderly lady is up to no good. Another set of short stories. It breaks the mold of dottering old maids. This set gives some of Maud’s backstory.
I really enjoyed this one.
A story of a 13 y.o. autistic girl, Ellen, who is head out on a 2 week school trip to Barcelona. She struggles with her changing friendship with her best friend, being in a new city with an unknown itinerary and a being placed on a team with people she doesn't know.
Along the way, we see Ellen learn to trust her new friends while she shows them what her autism looks like. And the discovery that she might be queer, after realizing she thinks girls are cute and meeting Isa, a new student who is proud and non-binary.
She makes mistakes along the way, but learns to expand her boundaries.
It is great to see Autism and non-binary representation, along with various religious beliefs displayed in such a normal everyday manner.

Love a good fairy tale retelling.
I did this one on audio and I did not like the male narrator. He sounded too old to be 18 and it was distracting.
