A beautiful book of haikus. The illustrations are beautiful As the subtitle says--haiku for all seasons. We travel through the seasons with haikus. But not just ordinary haikus, each one is written for you to guess the subject of the haiku. The author calls them riddle-ku. A mix of riddles, haiku and mask poems.
Written in a prose/poetry style. Quick read. Good for someome who is questioning and needs to feel validatedand that they they are okay. The main character covers questioning their gender. Understanding who they are. And slowly coming out to their friends and family.
"And why must I say that
"I'm lucky"
to be accepted
rather than to say,
"People need to do better.
I'm still a person"?"
This quote reminds me of a conversation my husband and I had about our child and their coming out. We kept being lauded for being great parents because we were accepting. My husband was mad and said "It's horrible that the bar is so low that accepting your child for who they are merits such accolades."
To all those who are not accepted, I am so sorry. You are deserving of way more than that!

This is one of my first Kindle In Motion books. I like it. Although, it was a little inconsistent. The first story had graphics on each page, even if they didnt move, butvlater stories had several pages with only black print on white page. And several stories had the motion graphics a page or two after the associated text.
Had a harder time following the suspects who were all so similar, but loved getting the background on Robin and Strike
A wide variety of projects. A larger range of sizes, which is a big bonus!
Adorable coffee-esque names to the patterns.
Patterns range from easy to advanced. Each pattern has a little blurb that often explains why it is a good pattern to knit in a coffee house (i.e. easy of pattern/repeats, etc) , others are because they exude the comfort of a coffee house.
Some patterns contain charts--in these instances, you must be comfortable reading a chart, as they are not written out. I can go either way, so it's not a deal breaker to me.

Good vs is evil is not always what it seems.
Stretching my genres by reading a graphic novel. Although, its not much of a stretch by choosing fantasy now is it???
Shapeshifter Nimona is an awesome sidekick to science loving Blackbeard. I loved her spunk and tenacity.
